Asymmetrical Artisan Earrings Hand Painted Findings Eclectic Jewelry (#8409)
These are for those that like asymmetrical and eclectic jewelry. I love to make my own findings and am inspired by the historic tribal wares I carry in my shop. I especially love experimenting with different techniques. These earrings are a fusion of some of my favorite techniques - painting, enameling, and metal work. The colorful and lightweight bases are made from vintage stampings used on Turkmen textiles. I painted each one in rich layers of color and sealed them with a shiny finish. I added my handmade headpins and beads, as well as some other glass beads. A bit of Roman glass never hurts, especially when paired with silver, as bit of cobalt blue beads demonstrates. My favorite detail is the vintage stylized chamsa I sourced from Pakistani jewelry. These are about 3" long and weigh 10 grams - a normal weight for earrings. Both front and back of the earrings are shown.
Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
