Honeycomb Artisan Glass Earrings with Vintage Tribal Accent .935 AG Ear Wire (#7620)
Pair of hexagon stained glass earrings with a vintage tribal accent from Turkmen jewelry. I made these long earrings by soldering two pieces of stained glass together using lead free solder. I applied a patina to create a warm color finish. The two pieces of glass look a bit like honeycomb. I used an accent that has an insect like stamping, although, that is my interpretation. It most likely is symbolic of corn or something else entirely. These are 4.5" long - that's really long! Each one weighs 11 grams - kind of heavy for most earrings. I made a custom ear wire using Argentium silver (.935) which is less likely to tarnish than .925 silver.
Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
