These earrings are a fusion of unique pieces. Each round brass wheel is an old fibula (brooch) component from Pakistan, possibly Kohistan. Although, I have seen these on Kalash wedding hats as well. The two fibulas are similar in size, but they are not exactly the same. Each one is very well-worn with a lot of history. The copper band has a floral-like texture. I rolled it through my rolling mill on a steel plate; I wanted the surface to compliment the shape of the brass. I riveted the copper band together to create an earring hole. These holes have copper rivets as well as 20g copper ear wires. The earrings are about 2.25" long.
Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
