Old Pair Beaded Gul Animal Hair Felted Tribal Patches 3.5" (#8138)
Pair of old tribal gul medallions with felted animal hair as the base. Older gul often have felted animal hair as their backing, which also creates a domed profile; I've tried to show this in the photos. This pair is about 3.5" wide. The design is a stylized flower pattern made of yellow, blue, white, red and green. "Gul" means "flower" in Dari. These are a used, handmade pair of traditional tribal appliques worn by Kuchi nomads. These have been removed from a dress or textile so there are stray threads and signs of use. There aren't any obvious missing beads but the felted backing is visible. Fabulous tribal supplies for ATS and fusion hip belts, headdresses, as well as for adding to jean jackets, bags, pillows, or other creations. You'll receive both gul.
Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
