Vintage Kochi Kuchi Triangular Beadwork Tassels Tribal Adornment (#8473)
Handmade Kuchi (Kochi) tribal beadwork with tassels. Traditional pattern in white. blue, red, yellow, orange, and green. There are four little tassels across the bottom. There were probably more at one time. The tassels have some stray threads and loose beads. The beadwork is created on a few layers of plastic (not crinkling) and then backed with fabric. The fabric has some discoloration - visible in photos. The two layers of plastic make the piece a little stiff. There don't appear to be missing or loose beads other than those on the tassels. The backing is somewhat visible from the front. 7.75" by 8.75". Used item from a nomadic, tribal culture. There are many different Kuchi tribes; Kuchi is a descriptive term for nomadic tribes in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions. If you have any questions, please send me a message.
