Vintage Tribal 16" Choker Pendants with Hamsa Baloch Jewelry (#6572)
Vintage Baloch tribal choker with a series of coin pendants and a large tribal focal in the center. The pendants have stylized hamsa accents - the hamsa is a symbol of protection. The dangles also make a quiet jingling with movement as they bounce off each other. The sound is used to ward off the evil eye. There are eight traditional Balochi beads spaced between the coin pendants. This is strung on an old cord that is worn with use but still intact. It fastens with a shell and loop at 16". This choker weighs just over eight ounces - it's lighter than some of the other Baloch necklaces and chokers I have listed.
