Beaded Tribal Patch Medallion Kuchi Gul Felted Animal Hair Base (#10126)

Vintage Kuchi tribal gul medallion made on a felted animal hair base. About 2.25" wide. There aren't any obvious missing beads. The felted backing is visible from the front and side. Traditionally used as adornment on textiles or clothing by the nomadic tribes of Pakistan and Afghanistan, collectively known as "Kuchi". This is a handmade item from a tribal culture. The term "gul" means flower. This particular flower pattern has meaning to the original maker.
