Unique pendant or tassel component from Northern Afghanistan's ethnic Turkmen population. This is 3.75" tall. Comprised of round, bead-like pieces with bails around the lower portion. This could be a stand-alone pendant or from part of a large tassel. There is a crack in the metal on the underbelly - shown in photos. The edges aren't sharp so it appears to be old - not overly pliable. Made of a copper alloy - there is verdigris evident throughout. The metal is a brownish/gray color with surface wear and an aged appearance. The braided and serpentine wire work is intact. Bits of solder evident on the serpentine portion. Really unique, unusual piece.
