16" long Afghan nomadic Kuchi tribal tassel or dwelling hanging. Loaded with meaningful details: flowers, evil eye symbols, colors, and traditional patterns - all used as a means to keep the evil eye away and provide protection. At one time there would have been a rectangular mirror sewn into the middle section. I've shown the area close up - the mirror is missing. The beading is intact but there are stray threads evident. Handmade appearance and signs of age and use, including dusty crevices, missing mirror, and stray threads.
