18" long Afghan nomadic Kuchi tribal tassel or dwelling hanging. Loaded with meaningful details: mirrors, evil eye symbols, colors, and traditional patterns - all used as a means to keep the evil eye away and provide protection. The beading is intact but there are stray threads evident on the pom poms, beading, and hanging loop. Fairly heavy due to all the beadwork - weighs just over 10 ounces.
