Maroon Turkmen tassel with white beads on the fringe. Handmade by Turkmen women from Northern Afghanistan who now live as refugees in Pakistan. Each one is made by twisting yarn on a spindle, adding the beads one at a time, then wrapping the yarn around a frame to create the tassel. About 4" - 4.25" long, with some variation due to the handmade nature.
