Vintage, unique Turkmen bridal hair tassel. About 13.5" long. There are some stylized bird accents on the triangular portion - often used as a symbol of good luck. The center cabochon is an agate and the two smaller jewels are made of glass. They sit slightly askew in the bezels. The metal is a gray/silver/tan color and most likely made of an alloy. There are a series of connectors, tassel tops, and traditional dangles that make up the tassel fringe. Makes a sound with movement - the sound is used not only to announce the presence of the wearer but also used to ward off the evil eye. This weighs just over 4 ounces and is one of the smaller ones I have.
